Ladies and gents, there’s a new FinTech Champ in town! Mineral Interactive, a digital marketing and technology firm for advisors, won over our judges and was crowned the winner of our 2018 FinTech Competition at XYPN LIVE 2018 in St. Louis.
Mineral Interactive impressed esteemed judges Michael Kitces of XYPN, Bill Winterberg of FPPad, and Jeff Merkel of Ladder—our 2018 FinTech Competition sponsor—and beat out five other finalists with their next-gen client digital marketing and onboarding tool, Approach.
Approach simplifies and modernizes prospect and client generation by streamlining the data gathering process and helping eliminate unproductive back-and-forth communication and unsecure file sharing.
The platform was designed to empower advisors with safe document sharing channels and create more efficient meetings with clients through a series of customizable questions, which range from basic family and contact information to risk tolerances. This tailored tech solution even gives advisors the option to customize the platform to reflect their brand, with the ability to incorporate their logo and brand colors.
Mineral Interactive’s innovative, two-pronged strategy of “using digital website marketing as an onboarding and data-gathering opportunity” and their focus on customization and optimization impressed the judges and ultimately earned them the acclaimed title, “2018 FinTech Champion” at XYPN LIVE 2018.
As the 2018 FinTech Champ, Mineral Interactive will be featured on Bill Winterberg's FPPad.com and Michael Kitces's Nerd’s Eye View blog. The company will also have a segment on our popular XYPN Radio podcast.
Of the conference and FinTech competition, Mineral Interactive Co-Founder and Carson Group CMO Jud Mackrill reflected, “It was amazing to see such a diverse network of advisors come together to connect and learn from each other at XYPN LIVE. Technology is a huge game changer for an advisors' practice, and as technology vendors, it's important to create resources for advisors to use independently. XYPN shares our vision of helping advisors run more efficient practices, and we're thrilled to be a part of the future of the industry.”
XYPN has long recognized that leveraging technology is essential to the delivery of financial planning services to Gen X and Gen Y clients, a realization from which our FinTech Competition was born. FinTech innovation empowers advisors to increase their value to their clients through better advice and a better client experience, raising the financial planning bar.
“The XYPN FinTech Competition was created to provide new advisor technology companies with a platform to showcase new tools that can help financial advisors better serve Gen X and Gen Y clients,” XYPN co-founder Michael Kitces says of the annual competition. “There is a huge technology gap in the industry for advisors—most solutions being developed today are geared more at product sales, or replacing advisors, not helping advisors to run a more efficient business and deliver better advice to clients."
Our FinTech Competition will be back again at XYPN LIVE 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri on September 8-11, 2019.
