XYPN LIVE 2017 promises to be a dynamic and powerful event. We’re expecting several hundred attendees, exhibitors and speakers to pack the rooms of the Fairmont Dallas for our third annual national “unconference” this August. There will be endless amounts of energy, and multiple days of content, events, exhibits and awards to keep you busy.
The annual event has evolved over the years to meet the needs of all our attendees. This year, we’re doing something a little different for our attendees. We’re organizing our content tracks around each stage of the advisory life cycle. No matter whether you’re starting, running or growing your RIA, there will be a track for you.
This year, you’ll find a Start Your Firm Track, Grow Your Firm Track and Run Your Firm Track. As always, we’ll have a Continuing Education Track to provide 6.5 hours of CFP CE credit. Each of the tracks are designed to feature the most relevant and applicable subject matter from diverse and talented panel lineups.
Start Your Firm: Are you considering starting your firm? Are you in your first year of running your firm? Focus on this track.
This track is making its second consecutive appearance at our conference. It’s in this track that you’ll hear from XYPN members and fee-only advisors who have been through their first years and who have lived to tell about it. They’ll share their experiences - highs and lows - of launching their own businesses. You’ll hear about developing your niche in the first year and how advisors like you are able to market their firms in their first year. You’ll hear from coaches, XYPN staff and others about what you need to know as you start your adventure in running your own firm.
Run Your Firm: Are you over the start-up hurdles but still need to get to the nuts and bolts of planning and running your firm? You’ll want to focus on this track.
Our panelists will provide inside knowledge about the intricacies of offering and delivering the monthly retainer model. You’ll hear from panelists about what it takes to hire your first employee and how to delegate the projects you once held most sacred. You’ll hear from others about using AUM and investment management to provide long-term service to clients. You’ll hear from a group of advisors (and a paraplanner) about how to use process to increase efficiency. There’s even a session about finding work/life happiness.
Grow Your Firm: This track is designed for advisors who are past the first-year hurdles and who are ready to grow their practice, whether that means adding additional services or increasing client numbers.
You’ll learn how to use your niche and expertise to more effectively target your ideal clients. Our Director of Marketing will discuss how to get the most out of your marketing content, and you’ll hear about global marketing as well. XYPN members will talk on a panel about diversifying their service model outside of the AUM and Monthly Retainer Model to start providing more dynamic services. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from advisors who grew through acquisition, and how best to maneuver that growth model.
Continuing Education: Are you looking for relevant content to earn CFP CE credits? If so, this is your track.
Learn from experts about topics applicable to you as you accumulate CE credits. You’re going to hear from XYPN members about how to run engaging client meetings and how to establish a divorce planning specialty. You’ll hear from the LLIS team about term and permanent life insurance as well as long term care options. Travis Brewer, VP of Business Consulting with TD Ameritrade will be joining us for a CFP CE approved presentation. You can trust that these sessions will be pertinent to your practice and worth every minute.
We’re looking forward to seeing many familiar faces in Dallas this August. If this is your first XYPN event, welcome! For more information or to purchase your pass, please visit our conference website.
