Go to the XY Planning Network Conference and FinCon 2015 -- for Free

XYPN is excited that we'll be hosting our first XY Planning Network Conference in 2015, and our event will be held in conjunction with the massively popular FinCon 2015 Expo.

Our conference will be for everyone: members, nonmembers, established financial advisors, young financial experts looking to get started in the financial field -- anyone with an interest in financial planning and getting paid for financial advice is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The XY Planning Network Conference will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina from Tuesday, September 15 to Thursday, September 17 at 1pm. We'll wrap up as FinCon kicks off!

To help us get revved up for this big event, we're challenging you to share with us how or why you'd be an excellent provider of professional financial advice. Whether you're a blogger who's looking to elevate your career to the next level, or a young planner looking to launch their own firm -- we want to know your why, and we'd love to hear more about how.

Which is why we're hosting an essay contest for you, and the grand prize winner will receive free passes to FinCon 2015 and the XY Planning Network 2015 Conference. The winner will also receive $400 for travel expenses and 3 free nights in the conference hotel.

Here's How to Enter

1. Submit your story of why you think you’d be an excellent financial planner who gets paid for your personal finance advice. There are no rules about what your story looks like -- it can be long or short, in whatever kind of written format you want. You just need to share your story and explain how/why you want to get paid for the financial advice that you give.

2. Publish your essay on your blog or website. Please be sure to include this text ahead of your essay:

I'm sharing my story of why I believe I'd succeed as a financial planner who gets paid for their personal financial advice. 

3. Complete your entry by using the form below. Once your essay is live, submit your entry by sending us the link to the post or page and filling out your name, email address (so we can notify you if you win), your website and Twitter handle (so we can promote you if you win!), and t-shirt size (so we can get you some swag if you win).

Prizes for Essay Contest Winners

One grand-prize winner will receive:

• Pass to XY Planning Network's 2015 Conference
• Pass to FinCon 2015 Expo
• Up to $400 for travel expenses (winner will submit receipt of expenses so XYPN can reimburse)
• 3 night hotel stay (XYPN will book directly for the winner)
• XY Planning Network T-Shirt

Two runners-up will each receive:

• $100 off XY Planning Network's 2015 Conference registration
• XY Planning Network T-Shirt

Essay Contest Details

• Contest runs from 01/30 to 03/31
• Anyone is welcome to participate
• Entries must be received through the form below
• If the grand prize winner fails to attend the conference after expenses have been paid by XY Planning Network, the grand prize winner agrees to repay all costs to XYPN
• Winning and runner-up entries will be published on XY Planning Network's Advisor Blog
